Common Questions Asked About Membership in Dr. Dilip’s Diamonds Club
Q: I’m debating whether to hire a speech coach to work one-on-one with me, or whether to join Dr. Dilip’s Diamonds Club. What are the pros and cons?
A: You need not see this as an either/or proposition. If you can get a good speech coach, that is an excellent way to get customized instruction and practice for what you want to achieve. You will find that the Diamonds Club will complement what you are learning and accelerate your progress. If the coaching fee is a challenge to you, the Diamonds Club provides you education and inspiration at a fraction of what it costs to get the services of a top-notch coach.
Q: I’m not technologically savvy. Will I have to jump through technological hoops to access what Dr. Dilip’s Diamonds Club offers?
A: I have good news for you! The Diamonds Club is set up so that anyone who has access to a computer connected to the Internet can receive the weekly video lessons, the quarterly webinars, and the Q & A Forum. To receive feedback on an upcoming speech, you can submit your speech in any of a number of different formats using technology or snail mail.
Q: Can I receive unlimited feedback on my speeches?
A: You can receivefeedback on one speech a month.
Q: I will be a speech contestant and wonder whether Dr. Dilip can give me feedback on my contest speech.
A: Dr. Dilip will offer feedback on speeches to any Diamonds Club member who is a speech contestant as long as Dr. Dilip is not scheduled to be a judge at the contest where the speech contestant will be competing.
Q: What is Dr. Dilip’s confidentiality policy? I may want to submit a speech or two I’m preparing to give at my company. My speeches will contain confidential information. Will Dr. Dilip’ s evaluation be visible to other Diamonds Club members? Will my speech material be handled in a confidential manner?
A: Feedback on your speeches will be sent directly to you and will not be posted on the Diamonds Club website. Dr. Dilip handles every individual’s speech material in a confidential manner, as he has done since beginning his speech coaching practice in 1992.
Q: Can I be assured that Dr. Dilip will answer every question I ask?
A: Dr. Dilip cannot guarantee that he will answer every single question he receives. Every week he will select questions to be answered and post the question and answer on the private website for Diamonds Club members. The number of questions he answers depends on the quantity of questions received.
Q: There may be some questions I’d rather submit anonymously. Can I do that?
A: Yes and No. When you submit a question you will use a form given in the Diamonds Club website. Your name and e-mail address will be required fields but you can indicate whether you’d like to use an alias when Dr. Dilip posts his answer on the Diamonds Club website. This can be much like the letters in “Dear Abby.” In this case, they will be “Dear Abay(asekara)!”
